An Overview of
Adopting
Adoption Network of Colorado provides adoption
services to clients wishing to adopt through our
Domestic Program, or for families seeking to
adopt through our Designated Program.

A
"designated" or 'Identified' adoption is defined
as an adoptive placement in which adoptive
parent(s) have been designated by the birth
parent(s) prior to either party's involvement
with an adoption agency. A designated adoption
may also take the form of a client completing a
Family Assessment before independently seeking
birth parent(s).
Our Domestic Program offers a Family Assessment
or Home Study with qualified and experienced
social workers. Adoption Network of Colorado’s
mission is to “Link kids with Opportunity” and
our staff works hard to help our adoptive
families through their adoption journey.
For an interstate adoption, Adoption Network of
Colorado may contract out of state to perform
either the Family Assessment/Post
Placement/Finalization services, or Birth Parent
Counseling/Relinquishment services. If the child
is born in Colorado, Adoption Network of
Colorado will initiate the Interstate Compact
for the Placement of a Child (ICPC), retaining
guardianship of the child until the finalization
of the adoption.
